Instructors and Clinical Consultants

In addition to Alice Cennamo as an instructor and clinical consultant; PICC Resource Associates, LLC contracts with a few well qualified and experienced infusion nurse specialists who assist as Instructors/Clinical Consultants when needed. All of our consultants are venous access- iv therapy experts that offer high quality education services to our clientele.

Holly Kostuk, BSN, CRNI, OCN

Holly received her bachelors in nursing degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 1974.  She has extensive experience and expertise in vascular access and infusion nursing; including her current full time work in which she coordinates nursing staff, and patient care needs, and is a resource and preceptor to infusion nurses,.  Holly is certified as both a certified oncology nurse specialist and as an infusion nurse specialist.  She has worked as a specialist within the field of infusion nursing since 1998.  Holly serves on the board of the Connecticut Oncology Nurses Society Chapter, and is an active member of the Connecticut Chapter and National Infusion Nurses Society.  Holly Kostuk assists PICC Resource as a clinical consultant, and as an instructor for the PICC, IV insertion and other classes.

Pamela Thompson, RN, BS, BSN, MS, CRNI

Pam received her nursing degree from the University of Maryland – Baltimore, in January of 1995. She has worked as an emergency room nurse and high school nurse prior to focusing her efforts on infusion nursing in December of 2001. Pam has worked as a Senior Infusion Specialist for a major Pharmaceutical firm instructing neurologists, infusion nurses, and pharmacists in all aspects of a drug used for the treatment of MS in New York state and Vermont. Pam applies her clinical expertise as an instructor, independent contractor, and home infusion patient care. Pam was a Special Education teacher for 13 years and has her degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She has been a CRNI since 2003 and has placed over 1500 central lines. Pam has served on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Chapter of the Infusion Nurses Society for several years, previously as secretary, a three year presidential term, and currently serves the Chapter as the Ad Hoc Committee Chairperson.  Pamela assists PICC Resource as a clinical consultant, and as an instructor for the PICC, IV insertion and other classes.

SPM Resources, LLC- Sandra Pieger, RN

Sandi Pieger RN is the President and CEO of SPM Resources LLC, located out of Woodbury, CT.  Sandi is nationally known for her work as a clinical consultant in vascular access, infusion care training, published work, and a sought after speaker. Sandi has worked with many facilities in Ct and New England and traveled throughout the United States training nurses in PICC insertions, advanced techniques with ultrasound guidance and navigation systems.  She was responsible for starting PICC teams in hospitals. She provided initial training for ultrasound guided PICC insertions to sales reps, physicians and nurses in the UK , Europe and Australia through her  work for Bard Access systems where she was a retained clinical consultant for 17 years. She also worked to set the standards for training nursing consultants for Bard and wrote the initial comparison paper for real time ultrasound guidance vs Landmark technique for placing central catheters for Bard, distributed to the European market. Sandi currently runs SPM specializing in contracting to facilities and MD offices providing PICC line insertions and vascular access training. She has been inserting PICC lines since1990. Sandi teaches the Advanced PICC training on day two for the PICC Resource classes.
