Instructors

Our IV insertion classes have been developed by a RN who is a board certified vascular access specialist (VA-BC), and a nationally certified infusion specialist (CRNI) with more than 23 years experience. All of our IV insertion class instructors have many years of experience in IV nursing, and are recognized experts in this field.

We Offer: In-Person Classes and Online Classes

Instruction in insertion of traditional over the needle cannula peripheral aka "short" intravenous catheters. Instruction includes the insertion procedure, techniques for proper and successful catheter insertions, and care, assessment, and maintenance post catheter insertion. In-person Class awards 5 CE contact hours, Online Class awards 4 CE contact hours.

Scheduling:

Short IV Insertion (In-person Classes): The next one day in-person class will be held at our office located at: 865 River Road, Suite 201, Shelton, Connecticut on July 15th, 2017 (click on the class date for a flyer). Class handout materials, a hands on lab practicum, and a light lunch are included. Sample competency checklists are provided in all course formats for use as tools to assist attendees and employers following the course. Classes will be held at our office and training center located at: 865 River Road, Suite 303, Shelton, Connecticut 06484.

Class Sign Up:

Registration operators are available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Alternately you can download and mail in the class flyer-registration form. Prior to mailing the form, contact us first to confirm there is space in the class.

Short IV Insertion-1 (Description: Independent Study/ ONLINE format): No skimping here, our self-study programs are packed with information and based on our in-person classes plus added multimedia interactive games and other learning tools. A detailed and comprehensive program that takes about 4 hours to complete the program and post test. Priced at $99.00 per person.

Groups

Semi-private & On-site Classes: In-person group and/or on-site classes can be scheduled for facilities and other clinical organizations.
